Chocolate Banana Cake

Banana Chocolate Cake is one of the most delicious and easy cakes because we can prepare it without a mixer. In this recipe you will see that I use less bananas to make the cake lighter and my little daughter can enjoy it too.

Banana is her weakness, like most children and therefore this cake is her favorite treat!

But the most important thing is the time we spend together to prepare the cake. Our kitchen is filled with joy, laughter and flour, and at the same time the child learns to concentrate, communicate and cooperate.

Chocolate Banana Cake Recipe

Preparation time: 60 minutes
Portions: 8-10

Recipe ingredients

  • 170 gr Flora with butter, in aluminum foil
  • 240 g of self-rising flour
  • 5 g (1 teaspoon) baking soda
  • 5 g (1 teaspoon) salt
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 2 large eggs (120 g net weight)
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
  • 35 g of fresh milk
  • 2 large and ripe bananas (360 g net weight)
  • 200 g of couverture chocolate drops

Execute Recipe

  1. Take the Flora out of the fridge and let it soften at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  2. Place the cleaned bananas in a deep dish and mash them with a fork.
  3. We put the Flora in a large container and beat it with a wire until it becomes fluffy. Slowly add the sugar and beat well again until it turns white.
  4. Then add the eggs one by one and mix to homogenize the cake mixture.
  5. Add the vanilla, milk and mix lightly.
  6. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda into a large bowl and pour half the amount into the egg mixture. Mix lightly, just enough to absorb and add the rest of the flour, continuing to mix.
  7. At the end, add the chocolate pieces and the banana and mix gently again.
  8. Transfer the cake mixture to a rectangular form, which we have smeared with Flora and floured.
  9. Bake the banana cake in a preheated oven at 170°C in the air, for about 45-50 minutes. Pierce the center with a stick and if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
  10. Leave the cake in the form for 30 minutes and then carefully remove it from the form.
  11. Chocolate banana cake is ready to enjoy!
