Execute Recipe

  1. We start the chocolate pie by first preparing the chocolate cake.
  2. Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Butter a 23 x 33 cm Pyrex and add some sifted cocoa to prevent the cake from sticking during baking.
  3. Add the milk to a glass, mix it with the lemon and proceed with the recipe for the chocolate pie.
  4. Pour the sugar and the vitamin into the mixing bowl and beat them for a few minutes until they become frothy. We can also use a large container and beat them with a hand mixer or by hand.
  5. Then add the eggs, vanilla, soda and baking powder and mix lightly. Then add the milk with the lemon and beat for another minute.
  6. Sift the flour and cocoa, add them to the chocolate pie mixture and beat for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Pour the cake mixture into the Pyrex and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  8. In the first 30 minutes we check the cake by piercing it with a stick to see if it is cooked inside. If the stick is dry then the cake is ready, otherwise if the mixture sticks to it, bake it for another 5 minutes and check again in the same way.
  9. While the cake is baking, proceed with the chocolate cream.
  10. In a small saucepan, add sugar, cocoa, corn flour, salt and mix. Then add the cold milk and mix well.
  11. Heat on a medium temperature stirring regularly and once it is well heated, let it simmer for 1 minute and then remove it from the heat. Add the vitamin, mix well and cover the pot to keep it warm.
  12. Once the chocolate cake is ready and warm, pierce it in several places with the upside of a wooden spoon or any other cooking utensil with a diameter of about 0.5-1 cm.
  13. Pour the hot chocolate cream over the hot cake and spread it so that it goes everywhere and fills all the holes in the cake.
  14. Let the chocolate pie cool for a while, place it in the fridge for 30 minutes and then proceed with the chocolate frosting.
  15. In a small saucepan, add the milk, vitamin and sugar and heat on a medium to high temperature. Stir and as soon as it starts to boil, leave it for 1 minute and remove it from the stove. Pour this hot mixture into a bowl with the chocolate drops and mix until you get a uniform and smooth texture. Then the chocolate glaze is ready.
  16. Remove the chocolate pie from the refrigerator and pour all the chocolate icing over it while it is still warm. Put it back in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
  17. The most delicious and juicy chocolate pie you’ve ever tasted is ready to be cut! The holes have been filled with the chocolate cream and the icing on top gives an even richer chocolate effect.
  18. We can enjoy the chocolate pie with vanilla ice cream or plain.
