Recipe for Espresso Marinated Beef Steak

Recipe ingredients

  • 1 large boneless veal chop or rib eye (400 g)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 shot of espresso coffee
  • 60 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 1 spoon of mustard
  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • 2 spoons of brown sugar
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Execute Recipe

  1. Clean and chop the onion and place it in a large bowl.
  2. Add the espresso coffee, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, olive oil, mustard and pepper.
  3. Mix very well to dissolve the sugar and to homogenize the ingredients of the marinade.
  4. Pour half of the marinade onto a plate and add the steak. Let it marinate for at least an hour, turning it often.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill it on a bbq or a hot grill pan for 8-10 minutes, for medium grilling. At the same time, brush it every 2 minutes with the original marinade that we have reserved.
  6. Tip: for the best result, remove the meat from the refrigerator 1 hour before cooking.
  7. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes to retain its juices.
  8. Then cut it into thin slices and enjoy!
