Tuna Tataki Recipe

Recipe ingredients
- 300 g tuna fillet
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt Pepper
- 3 tbsp tataki sauce
Ingredients for the tataki sauce
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 1/2 tsp. melted ginger
- 2 tbsp sesame oil from roasted sesame
- 1 tbsp Sesame
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp Japanese rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
Execute Recipe
- In a small saucepan, add the soy, sugar, lime juice and rice vinegar and mix well until warm.
- As soon as the sauce for the tuna tataki comes to a boil, remove the pan from the stove and let it cool. Then add the sesame oil, sesame, melted ginger and chives and mix well.
- We proceed with the preparation of the tuna fillet.
- Cut the tuna fillet into 2-3 parts, depending on the size of the fillet, so that we get large and square sticks.
- Brush each tuna fillet with olive oil and add some salt and pepper on all sides.
- Heat a non-stick pan to a very high temperature and sear the tataki tuna fillet for 12-15 seconds on each side. Care must be taken not to overcook as the tuna fillet must be raw inside.
- Remove the tuna from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes on a plate.
- Cut each tuna fillet into very thin slices and place them on a plate. Pour a little sauce over the pieces and serve the Tuna Tataki Fillet with the rest of the sauce in a small bowl.
